Cranks
Middleburn cranks were first developed in 1991, since that time the crank has undergone many refinements.
The latest incarnation is the RS8 X-TYPE. This is our new crank to fit the external bottom bracket. The design is the result of advanced 3D and stress-modelling techniques that ensures they are not only amongst the stiffest but also the lightest and strongest available. Our on-site manufacture allows us to constantly examine and test each and every crank throughout its creation - a quality control that is second to none!
The cranks are HOT-FORGED from high quality 7075 T6 aluminium. The cranks then go through a CNC machining process that finely sculptures each crank arm into the unmistakable Middleburn shape.
All our cranks are produced by the same methods so you can be sure of the same quality standards whichever type you choose.
